For our winter wedding I'd like to look bright eyed and glowing. However, I'm concerned about the lighting of this time of year - can you suggest any?

To achieve beautiful skin, adopt a daily skincare regime at least three months before the big day.  Establishing and moisturizing regularly will keep your skin in tip-top condition.

Choosing the right base is important I like to use creamy foundations which produce a natural satin finsih such as Estee Lauder's Double Wear range.

For shine control, use a mattifying primer then apply foundation followed by a cream conceler on any blemishes.

For natural-looking eyes, use matte powders in warm shades and blend the lighter hue from the inside corner of the socket and gradually darken towards the outer corner.

After applying waterproof mascara, add three or four individual lashes to the outer ege of each eye.  A white kohl pencil applied to the waterline freshens and brightens your eyes instantly.

Try using a cream blush on cheeks rather than powder, in a shade complementing your skin tone. Apply by patting it on the apple of your cheeks with your finger tips and blending up in a crescent shape fading towards your temples.

A nice matte lip colour is the best choice to keep a natural look. To add definition, line the lip with a natural-coloured pencil and blend well to eliminate harsh lines.  Opt for a lipstick shade similar to your cheek tone - pink-toned for fair skin, apricot and coral tones for dark - apply one layer, blot and repeat.  Dab a small amount of neutral gloss on the centre of the bottom lip and a smaller amount on the top lip below the cupid's bow to give the appearance of a fuller lip.
